Food For Thought

Have always been saddened by news of infant being abandoned or killed by its unwed mother. Like the lastest incident whereby an unwed, undergrad who threw her newborn down the rubbish chute. Wondered what went through her mind when she did that. Just don't understand how could a mother be so heartless and cruel as to do such an unforgivable thing to a harmless and innocent child who didn't even ask to be born in the first place. Unwed mothers have always come under tremendous pressure both from their family and friends and the society. Most of the time, they are treated like outcast and are looked down upon. And to make thing worse, most of the time the guys responsible for the unplanned pregnancy are not as supportive or worse, are nowhere to be found. So one can imagine the kind of ordeal, the gals, especially those in their teens, have to go through to face everything on their own. They definitely need all the help, guidance and support they can get but that still doesn't give them the right to take away the life of another, especially that of an infant. Thus, my advice to all you gals out there is
